CITIES FOR ACTION ISSUES STATEMENT ON THE HOUSE PASSAGE OF THE FARM WORKFORCE MODERNIZATION ACT

Cities for Action (C4A) issued the following statement in response to the House of Representatives' passage of the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.

Immigrant farm workers have been the backbone of the American agricultural sector for years. We’re thrilled that the House of Representatives has recognized this by passing the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, which will create much-needed pathways to legal status for 1 million immigrant farm workers across the country. This is an important step to strengthen our economy while building a more just immigration system, and we urge Congress to continue this work by opening pathways to citizenship for all immigrants.
