Cities for Action denounces Trump Administration's decision to slash U.S. refugee admissions for the second year in a row

Cities for Action condemns the Trump Administration’s decision to slash the cap on refugee admissions for the second year in a row. As local leaders, we have seen first-hand how our refugee residents have enriched our communities through their resilience and hard work. Welcoming refugees is an expression of American values. Refugees are heavily vetted and among the most vulnerable people in the world. They have fled significant violence and abuse in search of safety in a new home. We continue to stand with our refugee residents, and we call on the Administration to reverse its decision and increase refugee admissions to restore the United States’s role as a global humanitarian leader.
